This is the time of the year again...one and a half weeks more to the Chinese New Year. When I was young, at this time of the year, Sister and I would be very busy helping Mother prepare CNY cookies /sweets. Mother made them all from scratch...she never bought them ready made, and I remember these cookies she made tasted so much nicer than the ones now which we can purchase.
I remember these are the 5 cookies / sweets that Mother was sure to make.
