Happy Birthday

23 April is my first born's birthday.  My first and second child were born just 3 days apart but their personalities differ.  I remember one week before giving birth to my second son, I had requested from my doctor whether  my second child's birth could be scheduled for 23 to coincide with my elder son's birthday.  The doctor gave me a nasty stare and said "You think giving birth is like playing the fool?"  How time flies.

Dear son, mother will always have you in her prayers and wish the best for you.

Happy birthday

Today is my second born's birthday.  How time flies.  He has been married for 7 years now and not staying with me at home. I miss taking care of him. I guess that's why they say "Mothers will always be mothers".

Mother wishes you every happiness and success always!

In the dew of little things

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed - Khalil Gibran

Gift of family

The great gift of family life is to be intimately acquainted with people you might never even introduce yourself to, had life not done it for you. ~Kendall Hailey, The Day I Became an Autodidact

Food, a pleasure as well as a necessity

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity. ~Voltaire

The Innocence of War

Turkish photojournalist Osman Sagirli took this picture of four-year-old Hudea, a Syrian child who escaped with her mother and two siblings when fighting broke out near her home in Hama. When he simply pointed the camera at her, she raised her hands as sign of surrender. The image moved people all around the world.
