I neglect to give thanks for the rain that falls

I have lived pain, and my life can tell
I only deepen the wound of the world
When I neglect to give thanks
The heavy perfume of wild roses in early July
And the song of crickets on summer humid nights
And the rivers that run and the stars that rise
And the rain that falls
And all the good things that a good God gives.

Love yourself more than you hate someone else

You are a person worthy of respect and consideration. Never allow someone who doesn’t deserve you to hurt you.

A place to vent my anger

Tired of doing favours for ungrateful people!  Just venting my anger...looks like this blog will  also become a private space to vent my anger, ha..ha..I feel better already.

Have to slow down?

It has been a busy week for me. Made 3 presentations in my consultancy activities and managed to have time for social events as well.  At the end of the week I told myself, "I may have to learn to slow down?"

ELDERS CAN REDUCE DEATH RISKS WITH HALF HOURS OF DAILY EXERCISES

A recent study developed by the Norwegian School of Sports Sciences in Oslo shows that elders can reduce death risks with half hours of daily exercises. The findings of the research were published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine at the beginning of the month.
Medical researchers have been paying recent attention to the way in which daily physical exercises can improve the health condition of individuals who have long exceeded the middle age threshold. Recent studies that were carried out prove that elders can significantly reduce death risks by exercising 30 minutes per day six times a week.

The little boy and the old man

Source:  Compassion for the Elderly

The Little Boy and the Old Man ~ by Shel Silverstein
Said the little boy, "Sometimes I drop my spoon."
Said the old man, "I do that too."
The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants."...
"I do that too," laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, "I often cry."
The old man nodded, "So do I."
"But worst of all," said the boy, "it seems
Grown-ups don't pay attention to me."
And he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand.
"I know what you mean," said the little old man.

Happy Birthday

23 April is my first born's birthday.  My first and second child were born just 3 days apart but their personalities differ.  I remember one week before giving birth to my second son, I had requested from my doctor whether  my second child's birth could be scheduled for 23 to coincide with my elder son's birthday.  The doctor gave me a nasty stare and said "You think giving birth is like playing the fool?"  How time flies.

Dear son, mother will always have you in her prayers and wish the best for you.

Happy birthday

Today is my second born's birthday.  How time flies.  He has been married for 7 years now and not staying with me at home. I miss taking care of him. I guess that's why they say "Mothers will always be mothers".

Mother wishes you every happiness and success always!

In the dew of little things

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed - Khalil Gibran
